Acta Physica Polonica BIlnicka, Agnieszka (2018)After the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, LHC is currently study-ing its properties. The measurements of small deviations from the SM pre-dictions can be the only way to access new physics, if no new resonanceswill be found. The bottom-up Effective Field Theory offers a consistentapproach, with new higher dimension operators built of Standard Modelfields (SMEFT). We discuss how this approach works in the case of thetransverse momentum spectrum of the Higgs particle. In our calculation,we augmented the Standard Model with three additional dimension-sixoperators corresponding to modifications of the top and bottom Yukawacouplings, and a point-like Higgs coupling to gluons. We also discuss theinclusion of the chromomagnetic operator. We present and discuss the im-pact of these three operators on thepTspectra at the NLL+NLO accuracy, and show how it can be approximately extended to the NNLL+NNLO level. We find that such modifications, while affecting the total rate within thecurrent uncertainties, can lead to significant distortions in the spectrumshape. - The ArDM ExperimentItem type: Other Conference Item
Acta Physica Polonica BHaranczyk, M.; Amsler, C.; Badertscher, Andreas; et al. (2010) - Free neutron decay and time reversal violationItem type: Conference Paper
Acta Physica Polonica BKozela, Adam; Ban, Gilles; Białek, Aleksandra; et al. (2011)Both components of the transverse electron polarization have been measured in free neutron decay. The T-odd, P-odd correlation coefficient associated with polarization component perpendicular to the neutron polarization and electron momentum, was found to be R = 0.006 ± 0.012 ± 0.005. This value is consistent with time reversal invariance, and significantly improves limits on the relative strength of imaginary scalar couplings in the weak interaction. The value obtained for the T-even, P-even correlation coefficient connected with the second transversal polarization component, N = 0.065 ± 0.012 ± 0.004, agrees with the Standard Model expectation providing an important sensitivity test of the experimental setup.
