The first two contributions deal with journalists, examining the state of journalists’ safety in Ukraine during wartime, drawing on survey data from the Worlds of Journalism Study, and assessing how the security sensitivities during wartime influence the practice of “patriotic journalism”. The following two contributions look at social media. One describes the role of Telegram in Ukraine’s wartime information ecosystem, the other analyses the changes in narratives which are spread by pro-Russian Telegram channels in Ukraine following the full-scale invasion.
