    CSS Analyses in Security Policy
Climate change is increasing the frequency and scope of security challenges. This calls for greater collaboration across formerly siloed policy fields, as illustrated in the context of climate change adaptation by Swiss Civil Protection and Switzerland’s “climate security” and “sustainable peace” priorities on the UN Security Council.

    Policy Brief
The triple nexus approach – understood as a more coherent engagement by humanitarian, peace, and development actors – is necessary to deal with the complexity of third-party engagements in fragile contexts. Implementing the triple nexus approach is challenging yet pivotal for more effective third-party impact.

    CSS Mediation Resources
This paper aims to learn from community-led mediation processes to help international and local actors promote peace in more effective and legitimate ways. It provides a frank overview of the challenges of international peace promotion efforts and the localisation agenda, and goes one step further to learn from a community-led mediation process in South Sudan that achieved meaningful impact on the ground. Based on this case study, practical insights are drawn out for local and international peace practitioners to improve their efforts.
