Abstract

The knowledge innovation environment is one of the fundamental bases of regional economic growth, especially for the medium and high-tech industries. However, urban planners have a growing demand for an efficient understanding and communication of the complex innovation environment driven by spatiotemporal knowledge. This study introduced visual analytical methods to reveal the spatial distribution, temporal trend, and semantic patterns of the regional knowledge innovation domains. We collected and used big scholarly data from ACM Digital Library in the preliminary study.
