Abstract

Data files for the runs conducted for the runs conducted for the evaluation of polar stratospheric clouds as simulated by SOCOLv3, for Steiner et al. : Evaluation of PSCs in the CCM SOCOLv3 by comparison with CALIPSO measurements. Experiment numbers refer to the following simulations: 120000 = S_REF; 121000 = S_n_ice; 122000 = S_n_nat_max; 126000 = S_n_ice,n_nat_max. The provided data files include: Steiner2020_PSC_Temp.zip (*_temperature_12hrly.nc, *_tropo.nc, *_PSC.nc): 12 hrly temperature and tropopause data as well as 12 hrly PSC surface area density for May to Oct 2007. Steiner2020_Chem.zip: 12 hrly chemical output for May to Oct 2007. Steiner2020_Backscatter_1/2.zip: calculated backscatter ratio for modelled PSCs.
