Abstract
A four element linear array for impulse-UWB transmission in the 1.9-3.3 GHz band is described. Two different versions of the feed network are compared: the realization of true time delay by coaxial cables, and the realization of a strongly frequency-dispersive network by using broadband phase shifters. When a band-limited impulse is transmitted by the array, it is shown that both feed networks perform almost equally well. This result suggests that dispersive feed networks can be used in bandlimited impulse-UWB systems. Show more
