The data contains tracks of individual eddies and their characteristics, specifically it contains following variables, for anticyclones and cyclones separately:
"Eddy identifier": Unique number assigned to each eddy track;
"Eddy tracking time step": Counter for the number of time steps the eddy has been tacked, starting with 1 for each eddy track; 1 time step corresponds to 7 days;
"Longitude": Longitude of eddy center;
"Latitude": Latitude of eddy center;
"Diameter": Diameter of a circle covering the same area as the respective eddy;
"Log base 10 chlorophyll": Chlorophyll averaged over eddy area;
"Log base 10 chlorophyll anomaly": Chlorophyll anomaly averaged over eddy area;
"Log base 10 background chlorophyll": Background chlorophyll averaged over eddy area;
"Year", "Month", "Day": Date of eddy snapshot.More
