Abstract
The data collection contains datasets on simulated maize and winter wheat yields under current and future climate conditions based on the crop yield simulation model CropSyst. The data collection belongs to the following article: Finger, R., Schmid, S. (2008). Modeling Agricultural Production Risk and the Adaptation to Climate Change. Agricultural Finance Review 68 (1), 25-41. CropSyst was used simulate experiments considering different levels of nitrogen fertilization, irrigation strategies under various realizations of weather (years). We also account for two different soil types. Parametrization of CropSyst as well as weather data reflect conditions at the Swiss Plateau. Crop yield data was simulated under different climatic conditions, i.e. under i) current climatic conditions (base scenario), ii) future climate conditions reflecting a scenario for the period around 2030, iii) future climate conditions reflecting a scenario for the period around 2050. The data collection contains six datasets, representing two crops and three climate scenarios. The total amount of observations is 10944, i.e. 1824 for each dataset. Show more
