Abstract
Cost-benefit analysis of transport infrastructure is both well established and still strongly criticized. This talk will propose a framework for a more complete assessment of the benefits and costs of infrastructure provision and then will explore this framework with a simplified agent-based model of travel behaviour. This model will focus on the most contentious issues of the recent discussion: change of route and mode, change of departure time and choice of home location. The talk will conclude with a sketch of the necessary research programme. Show more
