Abstract
Within the context of the “Industrie 4.0” initiative, workers should be enabled by information technologies to extend their abilities to handle a wider range of work processes. However, such information technology also requires additional workload, which is not clearly measurable yet. This paper thus introduces a concept of an extended application of the MTM method to measure and analyze the information retrieval phase and to also provide a platform to compare different smart devices for their suitability to the current task at hand. Finally, the paper briefly shows the current evaluation processes at a German car manufacturer. Show more
