dc.description.abstract
This data set is a global compilation of different geologic, topographic and biological variables for hilly and mountainous areas on Earth with 1 km resolution. The data are uploaded as a text file, with rows corresponding to pixels in the analyzed global raster data set. Columns correspond to the following variables: elevation [m], local relief [m], slope [° *10],precipitation [mm/a] ,temperature [°C *10] ,NDVI average [0-255], NDVI maximum [0-255], latitude [°N *100] ,ksn ,tetrapod species richness [number of species], amphibian species richness [number of species], mammal species richness [number of species], Köppen-Geiger Climate Zone (see for legend http://www.gloh2o.org/koppen/), Geologic unit (see https://www.geo.uni-hamburg.de/en/geologie/forschung/geochemie/glim.html), Landcover (see https://globalmaps.github.io/glcnmo.html), strain rate [10e-9/yr] For details about the data set and all data sources please refer to the linked publication https://doi.org/10.1029/2020GL088649 or contact the author directly. Together with the data set I am providing a R-script to do the statistical analysis.
