Abstract
This database was collected in the form of interviews from 250 rural households in Busia and Siaya Counties in Western Kenya during the months of November-December 2019.
The aim is to provide insights from the energy consumption patterns of rural households and the post-electrification effects documenting demographic, socioeconomic and fuels consumption
variables from two sample groups: households that have access to grid-electricity (124 observations) and households without access to grid-electricity (126 observations)
- from the latter, 60 observations did not have access to electricity at all, while 66 had access to a solar home system.
