Abstract
The problem of state estimation under unknown inputs for condition diagnostics and control applications is rendered a challenging and intricate task when it comes to slender systems featuring geometrical non-linearities, such as Wind Turbine (WT) blades. This is further pronounced in online applications, where real-time performance is required, as is commonly the case in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). Within this context, this contribution is focused on modal derivative-based reduced order models (ROMs), compounded with the dual version of the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) for the non-linear state and input estimation.
