Abstract

The topic of this issue is Responses to Covid-19: Displaced Persons / International Aid. Ulla Pape investigates the socio-economic situation of the internally displaced populations in the South Caucasus, with a special focus on their vulnerability to the impact of COVID-19; Gulnaz Isabekova analyzes “Team Europe”, which supported immediate needs and subsequent recovery from the pandemic in the spirit of economic and environmental sustainability in the South Caucasus, but also has far-reaching geopolitical objectives to be achieved by increasing the competitiveness and influence of European aid abroad.

Das Thema dieser Ausgabe ist: Reaktionen auf COVID-19: Displaced Persons / Internationale Hilfe. Ulla Pape untersucht die sozioökonomische Situation der Binnenvertriebenen im Südkaukasus, mit besonderem Fokus auf ihre Anfälligkeit für die Auswirkungen von COVID-19; Gulnaz Isabekova analysiert „Team Europe“, das im Südkaukasus im Geiste der wirtschaftlichen und ökologischen Nachhaltigkeit bei dringenden Problemen half und die anschließende Erholung von der Pandemie unterstützte, aber auch weitreichende geopolitische Ziele hat, die durch die Steigerung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und des Einflusses der europäischen Hilfe außerhalb der EU erreicht werden sollen.
