Abstract
The objective of this paper is to investigate the performance of statistical models to predict high tide events in the Venetian lagoon. Some exceptional high tide events are analyzed and various refinement of the models, for prediction of high tide events, are presented. The relevance of the external inputs, in particular of the meteorological agents, is tested via a Group-LASSO technique. Show more
