    Der vorliegende Arbeitsbericht beschreibt das methodische Vorgehen bei einer Haushaltsbefragung im Grossraum Zürich, die im Frühjahr 2005 durchgeführt wurde. Die Befragung war Bestandteil der Arbeiten zum Projekt „Infrastruktur, Erreichbarkeit und Raumentwicklung“, das 2004 bis 2006 im Forschungsfeld „Zukunft urbane Kulturlandschaften“ vom Netzwerk Stadt und Landschaft der ETH Zürich durchgeführt wird. Inhalt dieses Projekts ist der Aufbau einer Simulation von Flächennutzung und Verkehr für den Grossraum Zürich. Ziel der Befragung war es, Daten zu sammeln, die für die Entwicklung des Simulationsmodells benötigt werden und die nicht direkt bei anderen Stellen für das Projekt beschafft werden konnten. Aufgrund der Datenlücken vor allem im Bereich von Immobilien- und Bodenpreisen lag der Schwerpunkt der Befragung auf Fragen zu Lage, Ausstattung, Zustand und Preis der bewohnten Wohnung bzw. des Hauses.
    Der Arbeitsbericht beschreibt neben den Zielen den Ablauf der Befragung von der Stichprobenziehung der befragten Städte/Gemeinden und Haushalte bis hin zu ersten analytischen Arbeiten. Die erhobenen Charakteristika können zur hedonischen Modellierung von Immobilien- und Bodenpreisen genutzt werden, so dass ausgehend von der erhobenen Teilstichprobe flächendeckend Preise für den gesamten Grossraum Zürich berechnet werden.

    This working paper is the field report of a household survey conducted in the Greater Zurich area in spring 2005. The survey is part of the work for the project “Infrastructure, Accessibility und Spatial Development”, which is carried out as part of the research focus “Future of Urbanised Landscapes” of ETH Zurich’s Network City and Landscape from 2004 to 2006. The aim of the project is to develop an integrated land use – transport simulation for the Greater Zurich area. The survey’s purpose was the collection of data required for the development of the simulation that could not be obtained from other sources. Especially data relating to real state and land prices is not readily available, therefore the survey focussed on questions concerning location, equipment, condition and price of the households’ dwelling units. Besides the survey aims, the working paper presents the organisation of the survey from the drawing of a sample of municipalities and households in these municipalities to the first steps towards first analytic efforts. The sample obtained through the survey will be used for hedonic modelling of real estate and land prices, so that prices can be modelled seamlessly for the whole Greater Zurich area.
