Abstract

The work presented here aims at developing a microfluidic device with an ingenious design to be part of a fully integrated and automated system for water sample handling and pre-concentration on the field. The device is easy to fabricate and comprises of an integrated solid phase extraction based micro-chip for sample enrichment. It can handle numerous different solutions automatically and control small volumes of pre-concentrated solution into the 10-100 μl range with high reproducibility.
