Abstract
Deux consortiums européens, le SCAF et le Tempest, sont lancés dans le développement d’avions de chasse de 6e génération. Les deux projets reposent sur la même motivation: créer un pôle technologique stratégique qui permettra à l’Europe de recouvrer son autonomie. Ils diffèrent toutefois par leur approche et leur niveau d’ambition ainsi que par leurs enjeux militaires et politico-industriels.
