Scanning electron rnicroscope (SEM) analyses by EDX spectroscopy and Rarnan spectroscopy analyses allowed for the identilication of two new rnineral species for Cantone Ticino. The goyazite was found in a sarnple corning from Pinadee (Valle di Blenio). The analysed svanbergite come from Passo Vanit (Carnpolungo, Valle Leventina). Another sarnple from Pizzo Fiorina (Val Bavona) has been identified as a solid solution between svanbergite and goyazite. The rninerals, colorless to orange, form small crystals (< 1 mm) of pseudocubic appearance.
