Grand Genève et son sol: Propriété, Écologie, Identité – A Prospect for a Socioecological Transition in a Cross-border Metropolis

Abstract

This is an intermediate report to the consultation “Prospective Vision for the Greater Geneva – Inhabiting the City-Landscape of the 21st Century”, initiated by the Foundation Braillard Genèva, submitted on 17 July 2019, by the project “Grand Genève et Son Sol. Proprieté, Écologie, Identité. A Prospect for a Socioecological Transition in a Cross-border Metropolis”. The report covers the working period from October 2018 to July 2019, up until and including the delivery of the presentation on 3.7.2019 for the dialog and conference at Espace Omnisports du Salève, Collonges-sous-Salève Geneva. This period involved two parallel investigative design studios at the University of Luxembourg and the ETH Zurich during the spring semester 2019. The studios were accompanied by an extended field trip from 16.03–23.03.2019 to the Greater Geneva Region, culminating in a common final review in Zurich on 28 May 2019. Additionally, two parallel expert workshops with invited experts and collaborators were held in March and May 2019 in Luxembourg and Zurich.
