Measurement of the production cross section for a W boson in association with a charm quark in proton–proton collisions at √s=13TeV
(2024)The European Physical Journal CThe strange quark content of the proton is probed through the measurement of the production cross section for a W boson and a charm (c) quark in proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV . The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 138 fb⁻¹ collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The W bosons are identified through their leptonic decays to an electron or a muon, and a neutrino. ...Journal Article -
Study of azimuthal anisotropy of ϒ(1S) mesons in pPb collisions at √sNN = 8.16 TeV
(2024)Physics Letters BThe azimuthal anisotropy of Y(1S) mesons in high-multiplicity proton-lead collisions is studied using data collected by the CMS experiment at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 8.16 TeV. The Y(1S) mesons are reconstructed using their dimuon decay channel. The anisotropy is characterized by the second Fourier harmonic coefficients, found using a two-particle correlation technique, in which the Y(1S) mesons are correlated with charged ...Journal Article -
Measurements of azimuthal anisotropy of nonprompt D⁰ mesons in PbPb collisions at √sNN = 5.02TeV
(2024)Physics Letters BMeasurements of the elliptic (v₂) and triangular (v₃) azimuthal anisotropy coefficients are presented for Image 1 mesons produced in Image 2 hadron decays (nonprompt Image 1 mesons) in lead-lead collisions at √sNN = 5.02TeV. The results are compared with previously published charm meson anisotropies measured using prompt Image 1 mesons. The data were collected with the CMS detector in 2018 with an integrated luminosity of 0.58nb⁻¹. Azimuthal ...Journal Article -
Higher-order moments of the elliptic flow distribution in PbPb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
(2024)Journal of High Energy PhysicsThe hydrodynamic flow-like behavior of charged hadrons in high-energy lead-lead collisions is studied through multiparticle correlations. The elliptic anisotropy values based on different orders of multiparticle cumulants, v₂{2k}, are measured up to the tenth order (k = 5) as functions of the collision centrality at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of √sNN = 5.02 TeV. The data were recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC and ...Journal Article
