dc.description.abstract
Cell fusion is a fundamental cellular event required for development and homeostasis. Budding yeast cell fusion during mating is an attractive model system to study the cell fusion process since yeast cells are genetically tractable and yeast cell fusion is similar to that of somatic cells1. Here, we monitor yeast mating and cell fusion event by live cell microscopy with microfluidics device.
