What is Network Science?
(2013)Network ScienceThis is the beginning of Network Science. The journal has been created because network science is exploding. As is typical for a field in formation, the discussions about its scope, contents, and foundations are intense. On these first few pages of the first issue of our new journal, we would like to share our own vision of the emerging science of networks.Other Conference Item -

Waalbot: Agile Climbing with Synthetic Fibrillar Dry Adhesives
(2009)2009 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and AutomationThis video presents a palm-size climbing robot which uses synthetic fibrillar dry adhesives inspired by geckos. With fibrillar footpads, the robot is shown to climb smooth surfaces such as glass and acrylic, and surfaces with micron-scale roughness such as wood. In particular, the agility of the robot is highlighted by demonstrations of climbing, steering, and plane-to-plane transitions.Other Conference Item -

Dynamic analysis on hexapedal water-running robot with compliant joints
(2017)2017 14th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots and Ambient Intelligence (URAI)The dynamic analysis has been considered as one of the important design methods to design robots. In this research, we derive dynamic equation of hexapedal water-running robot to design compliant joints. The compliant joints that connect three bodies will be used to improve mobility and stability of water-running motion's pitch behavior. We considered all of parts as rigid body including links of six Klann mechanisms and three main frames. ...Other Conference Item -
