Abstract
In this term project, the speed of convergence to a system equilibrium of the agent-based simulation tool MATSim is investigated. The aim is to accelerate the convergence to equilibrium. To achieve that, on the one hand parameter values of MATSim are found, which yield a faster convergence, and on the other hand a criterion for equilibrium is proposed, with the goal to reduce the minimum number of iterations necessary to guarantee arrival at the equilibrium.
