Aerosol Spectroscopy of Dihydroxyacetone: Gas Phase and Nanoparticles
(2002)The Journal of Physical Chemistry ADihydroxyacetone aerosols with particle diameters around 50 nm were produced in an electrospray at ambient temperature and pressure. The vibrational spectra of the aerosols between 800 and 4000 cm-1 were recorded with a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. Depending on the experimental conditions, an appreciable amount of gas-phase 1,3-dihydroxy-2-propanone appeared in the infrared spectra of the particulate phase. In contrast to the ...Journal Article -
Si/SiGe quantum cascade structures emitting in the 10 μm range
(2002)Materials Science and Engineering: BIn this paper, we report on the successful deposition of Si/SiGe quantum cascade (QC) structures by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The structures are pseudomorphically grown on Si in the metastable regime, thus low temperature (T=350 °C) deposition is required. Structural characterization has been performed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray reflectivity (XRR). The data indicate an interface ...Journal Article -

Networks on chips: a new SoC paradigm
(2002)ComputerOn-chip micronetworks, designed with a layered methodology, will meet the distinctive challenges of providing functionally correct, reliable operation of interacting system-on-chip components. A system on chip (SoC) can provide an integrated solution to challenging design problems in the telecommunications, multimedia, and consumer electronics domains. Much of the progress in these fields hinges on the designers' ability to conceive complex ...Journal Article
