Vibration tests on interconnected timber elements using wood-wood connections
(2019)Mendeley DataVibration tests were performed on 3 large-scale timber slabs using wood-wood connections with a span of 8.1 meters. 10 impulsive vibration tests per specimen were performed to estimate the initial natural frequency. Vibrations were triggered using a hammer and two acceleration transducers (HBM B12/200) were positioned at mid-span with an acquisition speed rate of 200 Hz. The frequency spectrum was computed according to the Fast Fourier ...Dataset -
GRUN: Global Runoff Reconstruction (GRUN_v1)
(2019)The dataset contains a gridded global reconstruction of monthly runoff timeseries. In-situ streamflow observations from the GSIM dataset are used to train a machine learning algorithm that predicts monthly runoff rates based on antecedent precipitation and temperature from the Global Soil Wetness Project Phase 3 (GSWP3) meteorological forcing dataset. We thank Prof. Dr. Hyungjun Kim for developing the GSWP3 dataset and providing us with ...Dataset -
Data for 'Identifying key driving processes of major recent heatwaves'
(2019)This data accompanies the publication 'Identifying key driving processes of major recent heatwaves' in JGR: Atmospheres. All necessary files to reproduce the figures are provided in the tar-compressed folder. The folder also contains a README file with further instructions on the use.Dataset -
TLS-uncertainty wooden plate scanning data
(2017)Experiments involving investigation of the distance noise were carried out in the Geodetic Metrology laboratory using the Leica BLK360 laser scanner. The goal was to perform some tests and check for the distance bias and noise level in the software Geomagic. The scans were acquired at various distances on the comparator bench - 5 m, 6.5 m, 10 m, 20 m, 30 m, 40 m, and 50 m. The scanner was mounted on the comparator bench with a motorized ...Dataset -
TLS-uncertainty reflectivity modeling data
(2018)To make our simulation framework more robust, some experiments were performed to develop a more realistic reflection model for the triangulated surfaces used in experiments. Hence, a reflection model was developed which includes the a combination of both diffuse as well as specular components. For this, the experiments were performed in our Geodetic Metrology lab to scan a target plate of concrete material, a target plate of wooden material, ...Dataset -
TLS-uncertainty rockplate scanning data
(2017)These outdoor experiments involved outdoor terrestrial laser scanning with a phase-based scanner of a rockplate (rough) surface. The target was scanned at various distances, starting from 10m to 200m with the same scanning parameters (angular resolution and quality settings). The scanner was positioned roughly orthogonal to the rockplate. The experiments and the analysis allowed us to understand the low-pass spatial filtering of the the ...Dataset
