Experimental Design in the Post-War Period (Research Data)
(2022)Heinz Isler (1926-2009) is one of the most renowned Swiss engineers of the second half of the 20th century. In particular his thin concrete shells had a significant impact on the development of civil engineering in the second half of the century. Isler’s work was largely based on experimental design methods, which he constantly tested and verified at various scales using models which must be recognized as his central design tools. The ...Dataset -
Dataset from shaking table tests of a bridge system with precast reinforced concrete columns equipped with springs
(2022)This dataset contains the data of multiple shaking table tests on a restrained rocking and sliding bridge system exhibiting negative lateral stiffness, also called seismic-resistant precast bridge columns with jointed connections. Given the scarcity of experimental campaigns on such systems, this dataset is valuable for the development and validation of analytical and numerical models. The extensive number of tests (184 tests) also allow ...Dataset -
Literature-based data on pore solution compositions of cementitious systems
(2022)This database consists of a literature review of pore solutions of cementitious systems produced with Portland cement and supplementary cementitious materials. The systems exhibit diverse mix proportioning, ages from early hours up to 16 years, curing and exposure conditions, and different extraction and analysis methods of the pore solution composition.Dataset -

Model results for "Robust effect of springtime Arctic ozone depletion on surface climate"
(2022)Massive spring ozone loss due to anthropogenic emissions of ozone depleting substances is not limited to the austral hemisphere, but can also occur in the Arctic. Previous studies have suggested a link between springtime Arctic ozone depletion and Northern Hemispheric surface climate, which might add surface predictability. However, so far it has not been possible to isolate the role of stratospheric ozone from dynamical downward impacts. ...Dataset -
GRUN: Global Runoff Reconstruction (GRUN_v1)
(2019)The dataset contains a gridded global reconstruction of monthly runoff timeseries. In-situ streamflow observations from the GSIM dataset are used to train a machine learning algorithm that predicts monthly runoff rates based on antecedent precipitation and temperature from the Global Soil Wetness Project Phase 3 (GSWP3) meteorological forcing dataset. We thank Prof. Dr. Hyungjun Kim for developing the GSWP3 dataset and providing us with ...Dataset -
Data for 'Identifying key driving processes of major recent heatwaves'
(2019)This data accompanies the publication 'Identifying key driving processes of major recent heatwaves' in JGR: Atmospheres. All necessary files to reproduce the figures are provided in the tar-compressed folder. The folder also contains a README file with further instructions on the use.Dataset
