Abstract
The zip file «optical properties» contains the optical properties (scattering cross section, absorption cross section and asymmetry factors) for calcite and alumina particles and all injected primary radii (80 nm, 160 nm, 240 nm and 320 nm). Each file contains the corresponding data for all the spectral bands of SOCOL-AERv2 as well as for the agglomerates (i.e. 10 mass bins from monomer to 512-mer).
The zip file “contact_angle” contains the 15-year averages of zonal mean values of the total ozone column in “Dubson Units” (variable TOTOZ_m), of the simulations for the sensitivity analysis to the contact angle of “H2SO4” on alumina. They all injected 1-25 MT/yr of alumina particles with a radius of 240 nm. The simulations are called “totoz_’contact angle’_’injection rate’”.
The zip file “model output” contains zonal and annual means of all the relevant output streams from SOCOL-AERv2. For each simulation there are 4 output streams: *chem.nc, *rad.nc, *solid.nc and *aero.nc (see below). The simulations are called: “’injection type’_’radius’_’injection_rate’”.
The excel file “summary_of_DEM_results” contains the agglomerate radii resulting from the DEM simulations.
The File ending with “*_chem.nc” contains information on the total ozone column and the 3D ozone filed (TOTOZ_m, O3_m) for all simulations.
The File ending with “*_rad.nc” contains information on the total top of the atmosphere radiative balance (trad0, strad0) for all simulations.
The File ending with “*_aero.nc” contains information on sulfuric acid aerosols and sulfur species represented in the model (see variables in the files) for all simulations.
The File ending with “*_solid.nc” contains information on the solid particles represented in the model (see variables in the files) for all simulations. Show more
