An LTCC-based 35-GHz substrate-integrated-waveguide bandpass filter
(2009)2009 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium DigestLow-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) is used for a novel bandpass filter implementation. The filter is based on a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) having its pass band around 35 GHz. The implementation of this filter illustrates the feasibility of LTCC at these frequencies. Using a microstrip-to-SIW transition for coupling the first resonator additionally reduces the filter's size and loss. The filter is designed such that active ...Conference Paper -

A low-noise front-end with beamsteering capability at 35 GHz
(2007)2007 European Microwave ConferenceThis paper presents a novel implementation of a 35- GHz front-end for beamsteering applications. The achieved low noise figure of only 2.5 dB enables reception of very low-power signals. The 35-GHz input signal is downconverted to 5 GHz. A controllable phase shift is added by utilizing an injection locked voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) to drive the mixer. The phase noise of the local oscillator's signal is reduced by using a cavity ...Conference Paper -

Continuous Tunable Phase Shifter Based on Injection Locked Local Oscillators at 30 GHz
(2006)2006 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium DigestInjection locking is used to achieve a continuous tunable phase shift over 280deg at 30 GHz. By locking a free running VCO at 15 GHz to an external reference source and doubling the output signal a very linear phase tuning range can be achieved. A phase noise of -117 dBc/Hz and -140 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz and 1 MHz offset frequency, respectively, have been measured. The prototype phase shifter is build on high epsiv r = 10.2 RT/Duroid substrate ...Conference Paper
